Faster indexing for large video and photo libraries
Invenio 0.3.2 improves the foundation of local AI media search: indexing performance, memory usage, and visibility into long scans.
What changed
- Major memory optimizations for large libraries and external drives.
- More stable indexing for big batches of video and photo files.
- Real-time progress showing active file counts and processed video frames.
- UI and stability improvements.
Built for real archives
Video search tools are often tested on small demo folders. Real creative work is messier: terabytes of source clips, nested camera folders, external SSDs, RAID storage, old projects, and media from many codecs and capture devices.
This release makes Invenio more practical for those libraries. The goal is simple: let your Mac process footage locally, keep the app responsive, and show enough progress that you understand what is happening during a long indexing session.
Private by design
Invenio indexes media on your Mac. Your footage is not uploaded to a cloud service for analysis, which is important for client work, unreleased projects, personal archives, legal footage, and any library that should stay private.
